Jesus and the Perfect Man

In this essay, a companion piece to the essay on metaphysical correspondences in Christian and Muslim theosophy which was published in Volume 32 of Sacred Web, and written shortly before his death last month, Caldecott explores whether Jesus can be reduced to the Perfect Man or Insan al-Kamil of Sufism, and suggests how this reduction might compromise a Trinitarian understanding in Christian theosophy which must accommodate the doctrine of Original Sin and the Fall of Man, but how a modified understanding of the Sufi Doctrine of the Perfect Man might be the basis of reconciling it with a Pauline understanding of human perfectability in Christ.     Read more...

The Cherry-Tree Carol: Knowledge is a Gift, Not an Acquisition
